Product Description

 

Bentonite is a kind of clay of montmorillonite clay with a purity 96% plus.
The structure of montmorillonite is a 2:1 type crystal structure composed of two silicon-oxygen tetrahedrons and a layer of aluminum-oxygen octahedron. There are some cations in the layered structure formed by the unit cell of montmorillonite. When the inter-layer cation is Na+, it is called sodium bentonite; when the inter-layer cation is Ca2+, it is called calcium bentonite; when the inter-layer cation is an organic cation, it is called organic bentonite.

 

 

Application

1. Casting: molding sand adhesive. Use calcium or sodium based bentonite.
2. Metallurgy: Iron concentrate pellet binder. Use calcium or sodium based bentonite.
3. Drilling mud: Prepare a drilling mud suspension with high rheological and thixotropic properties, as well as a drilling release agent. Using calcium based and sodium based bentonite, organic bentonite.
4. Food: decolorization and purification of animal and vegetable oils, clarification of wine and juice, stabilization and saccharification of beer, and purification of sugar juice. Use activated clay or sodium based bentonite.
5. Petroleum: A catalyst carrier for refining, waxing, decolorization, and purification of petroleum, fats, and kerosene. Use active clay or calcium based bentonite as stabilizers for asphalt surface and thickeners for lubricating oil. Use lithium based bentonite. Organic bentonite.
6. Agriculture: Various types of bentonite are used as soil amendments, additives for mixed fertilizers, feed additives, adhesives, and animal enclosure soil (deodorizing and disinfecting).
7. Chemical industry: carriers of catalysts, pesticides, and insecticides, fillers for rubber and plastic products, desiccants, filters, detergents, soap, toothpaste, and other daily necessities additives. Thixotropic thickeners for coatings and inks, anti settling aids for paints and inks. Use activated clay, sodium based bentonite, and lithium based bentonite. Organic bentonite.
8. Industrial construction: industrial wastewater treatment, purification of swimming pool water, treatment of food industry waste, adsorption treatment agents for radioactive waste, soil and water conservation, activated clay for sand fixation, sodium based bentonite or natural soil, etc.
9. Architecture: Waterproof and anti-seepage materials, cement mixtures, concrete plasticizers and additives, etc. Use various types of bentonite.
10. Paper making: Dyeing agents for carbon paper, pigment fillers, active clay, and calcium based bentonite.
11. Textile printing and dyeing: filling bleaching, anti-static coating, replacing starch sizing and printing plastics. Use activated clay and sodium based bentonite.
12. Ceramics: Various types of bentonite are used as plasticizers for ceramic raw materials (to increase the compressive strength of ceramic embryos).
