Product Description

Sodium saccharin, also known as sodium o-benzoylsulfonimide, was developed in 1879 and is the earliest synthetic non-nutritive sweetener. It is soluble in water and is 200-500 times sweeter than sucrose in dilute solution. , When the concentration is large, it has a bitter taste. When heated under acidic conditions, the sweetness disappears and can form bitter anthranilamic acid. Application

Saccharin is an artificial sweetener with effectively no food energy which is about 300-400 times as sweet as sucrose or table sugar, but has a bitter or metallic aftertaste, especially at high concentrations. Saccharin is heat stable.It does not react chemically with other food ingredients, as such, it stores well.
