Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (LABSA) has been the world's highest-volume synthetic surfactant for the detergent industry for decades. As a high-cost-effective anionic surfactant, it boasts excellent cleaning power and good compatibility with other surfactant types.

Developed as a biodegradable alternative to Nonlinear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate (BAS), LABSA has since become the dominant active ingredient in synthetic detergent powder. It can be stably dried into powder form and dissolves readily in water, enabling the formulation of a full range of liquid and gel detergents such as dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, and liquid hand soap.
